Position: Director Qualifications: B Com, CA Experience: Brophy Knight since 1983 I am a Chartered Accountant, becoming a member of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of New Zealand in 1982. I completed a Batchelor of Commerce at the University of Canterbury in 1978. I am a Director of Brophy Knight Limited and have been a Director since 1993. I moved to Ashburton with my wife Janet in 1983 to work for Brophy Knight Limited. Previous to this I worked as a tax inspector for the Inland Revenue. Until the business was sold, I was also a Director of BK Registries Limited, a share registry company that was initially part of the Brophy Knight accountancy business but was subsequently formed into a separate company. The business has now been sold and operates as Link Market Services. I deal with a range of client, from the very small to several large clients. The clients cover a wide range of business types from several large businesses, to small business, investment clients, trust and estates. In addition I have a number of audit clients and look after the audit of several real estate trust accounts. I have three children, Timothy who has completed an accountancy degree and is working for Deloittes in Wellington, Emily who has completed a Food Science degree and now working at Fonterra, Clandeboye, and Charlotte who is currently  at Victoria University studying architecture. I am involved in a number of organisations outside of work on a voluntary basis, the main one being treasurer of Mid Canterbury Hockey and associated entities. I play hockey, tennis and golf. As my children have grown up I have been actively involved in their activities.
